Spring has arrived in Oregon. It was 91 yesterday. This time of year our
thoughts turn to tilling and planting even though we don't have any
soil to work right now.... We can smell the rich fragrance of newly
turned earth this morning, if only in
our memories. The birds are singing in the cool morning air; happy robins, quail, nut
hatches and somewhere off in the distance a Pileated Woodpecker is
calling. It's time to go walk in our imaginary garden....
